Prayer News from Ted and Diane Holzmann
Serving with TEAM in Neuburg, Germany
Dear Family and Friends,
Wow, has time gone fast. We were able to see many of you while we were in the States (Dec. 25-Jan. 24). It was a power-packed time, but the main item, Laura and Alex’s wedding, went beautifully. We were able to spend significant time with each of our three children (and spouses), Diane’s mother, and get to know our grandchildren (three now!) again -- and let them get to know us!
But back here at Neuburg, during that same time:
God brought together wonderful church services through some of our own people and outside help. |
God led that a new home group was founded – one for which we had hoped and prayed, but where reluctance had to be |
one pastoral candidate was proposed to the elders by the denomination, and turned down |
the Alpha course invitations were taken seriously and preparations made for a Jan. 27 begin. |
six people joined the church. |
For us, as we left New York:
Ted taught the first Alpha course on Jan. 27. He has found the prep work demanding, but satisfying. Gabi shared how her husband would not even think of coming. Two weeks later Gustav came, and – wonder of wonders! – today brought his family |
Diane went to Columbia, SC for an intensive week course in Systematic Theology. The 900 pages of advanced reading and required reports/essays were all complete. She was graciously hosted by two different friends and offered the use of a loaner car by another family. Now she is working on the post-campus course work due in one month. (She wouldn’t tell you this, but her hubby is very proud of her 97% course average!) |
On the immediate horizon
Next Saturday (3/6) the elders meet with the next pastoral candidate. He looks like he might be “the” man. |
We have been encouraged to consider four specific cities for our future. From March 14 -20 we will be on vacation and visit two and talk with those on location. |
Therefore, please pray:
for clear leading in Neuburg as concerns the next pastor |
for clear leading for us as to our future place of work |
for continued good relations and unity within the Neuburg body |
for all the home groups -- that they would be solid places of fellowship and learning |
for the (now 4) Alpha guests who continue to come, hear and ask questions about a relationship with God |
for the timing of the whole transition, peace especially for us in the midst of the uncertainties |

Thanking God that He is trustworthy, and holds our future.
Diane and Ted
